Fundraise Your Way is Team LRF’s Do-it-yourself platform. Each year, thousands of volunteers across the country turn their talents and interests into unique fundraising events to support the LRF’s mission of eradicating lymphoma and serving all those impacted by this blood cancer. Fundraisers can range anywhere from social events such as bake sales and parties, to athletic events like bike rides and marathons. Whatever your idea is, Team LRF is here to help!
Unfortunately, there is no LRF merchandise for purchase. However, we do have promotional materials, including informational brochures about lymphoma and the Foundation, that we can send to you to display and/or distribute at your fundraiser. To request these complimentary promotional materials, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please review our policies and procedures on our website for detailed guidelines on the use of LRF’s name in conjunction with your fundriaser. To request our logo, please contact us at email@example.com.
No, LRF does not insure Team LRF Fundraisers. It is the responsibility of the organizer to procure the necessary insurance coverage, licenses, and permits, and that they are compliant with all relevant legal requirements. Such documents must be in the name of the Team LRF event organizer. LRF assumes no financial or legal liability associated with Team LRF fundraisers and is not responsible for any resulting damage, loss or injury.
No, LRF will not provide financial assistance and will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by the event. LRF shall be entitled to 100 percent of the charitable portion raised by the Team LRF event. This amount is equal to the total proceeds less any direct expenses generated by the fundraiser. In the event that multiple charities are being supported, please ensure it is clear on all promotional materials. All net funds should be submitted to LRF within 30 days after the conclusion of the event. If you cannot meet the deadline, please contact LRF.
Note: It is recommended that you keep a detailed, accurate, and up-to-date accounting record of all event proceeds and disbursements. To assist you with planning your expenses, please review our Budget Template.
LRF is unable to support online ticket sales for third party fundraising events. The Event Organizer is solely responsible for the event promotion, registration fees, and sale of tickets. Net proceeds from registration fees and ticket sales can be donated to the Foundation by making an online donation to the event, mailing a check, or bringing the funds in-person to the New York office.
LRF cannot reimburse you for any fundraising expenses. To keep your event expenses low, we suggest asking local businesses and vendors for in-kind donations in exchange for free advertising on any promotional materials for your fundraiser.
There is no registration fee or fundraising requirement for joining Team LRF. We suggest you set a realistic goal for your fundraiser, and increase your goal each time you meet it. Team LRF is grateful for all donations and no fundraising effort goes unnoticed.

Include this offline donation form when mailing in donations. This will help ensure your donations are credited properly. All checks should be made payable to the Lymphoma Research Foundation. Please do not send cash in the mail.
Many businesses will match or double donations one of their employees gives to charity. Ask your company about its matching gift program, and don’t forget to ask friends and family who donate to check with their companies too. See our Matching Gift page for more information.
There are two ways a donor can find fundraising pages:
– Search our participant database by first or last name.
– Send donors a link that leads directly to your fundraising page.
LRF does not acknowledge third party in-kind donations, e.g. raffle items, auction items, goods or services, venue space, ect- for Fundraise Your Way fundraisers for tax purposes.
Every online donation will receive an automated email acknowledgment from LRF that can be used for tax purposes. LRF also encourages event coordinators to send their own personal thank you note to anyone who donates to their fundraising efforts. When you log into your account, you will be able to see a list of donors who have contributed. Please be aware that LRF can only acknowledge direct gifts. If participants would like to be acknowledged by LRF for their donation, they must donate directly to the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
Personal/team fundraising pages are web pages where you can fundraise and raise awareness about your participation in your local Lymphoma Walk. This page can be customized with your own pictures and text. You can also use your page to upload your address book, write and send your fundraising letters, track your fundraising progress, and send follow-up and thank you letters to your donors. Once you register online, you will automatically have a personal page created for you. Only team captains will have access to the team page.
Once you have registered, you will automatically be given a personal page. To access it, just log in and you will be brought to your personal walk homepage. From here, you will be able to edit and personalize your page. If you are a team captain, you will be able to edit and personalize the team page as well.
It is not required to use or change your personal/team page, but you are strongly encouraged to do so. The more personalized your page is, the more effective it will be as a fundraising tool. We provide a customized and printable donation form for donors who wish to donate offline and mail their donations directly to LRF. Once we receive these offline donations, we can upload the dollar amounts to your personal fundraising page so that the posted amount of total funds raised on your page reflects both online and offline donations. Another benefit to using the Fundraise Your Way site is that 100% of the funds raised on your Team LRF fundraising page go directly to LRF. Other third-party fundraising sites take a percentage of the funds raised to cover their costs before sending the donations to LRF.
Login to your personal/team fundraising page and under “Overview” click “Change” next to “My Goal.”
You will automatically receive an email notification when a donation has been made to your fundraising efforts. You can also log in to your personal page and click “Progress” to see a list of your supporters.
Login to your personal/team fundraising page and click “Personal/Team Page” button. You can upload a photo, edit text and your fundraising goal.
Some donors choose to make their gifts anonymous and therefore they will not show on your page.
Donations made through Facebook are received by LRF in biweekly lump-sum disbursements. With each disbursement, LRF receives a list of gifts associated with the lump sum. LRF can identify gifts that should be designated to Walk teams and will add them as offline gifts to the appropriate fundraising pages. If applicable, please email us at TeamLRF@lymphoma.org the names of individuals who have donated to your Facebook fundraiser.
Login to your team page using your username and password. Once on your homepage, you will be able to select “View Team Roster” on the right-hand side of the page.
Yes, upon registering you will be prompted to enter the username and password you used for previous events.
Log-in to the site using your current email and password. Once you have logged in, go to your participant center located at the top right side of the webpage and click profile. You can edit your contact information, email address, username and password.
Towards the bottom of each email message there is a link, labeled “Unsubscribe/Change Email”. Click on this link and follow the instructions given in order to unsubscribe. If you have an account, you can also log in and go to your welcome center and click “Settings”, from here you can manage your email subscriptions.
Credit card numbers are not stored in our database. During the donation process, we send your credit card number to an online processing terminal using a secure connection.
Yes. Blackbaud, the company that the Lymphoma Walks uses to store data, has made every effort to protect your information. They use industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure that your credit card information, passwords, and personal information travel securely over the Internet.
