Researcher Spotlight: Anli Zhang, PhD

Dr. Zhang is an instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center in the field of cancer and immunology. She earned her doctoral degree at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, before coming to UT Southwestern for her postdoctoral research on immunological regulation in cancer. Building on these experiences, Dr. Zhang’s Foundation-funded research focuses on the development of novel therapeutic cancer vaccines using lipid nanoparticle technology. Her goal is that these mRNA vaccines can be used alongside other forms of immunotherapy to help boost cancer-targeting immune responses in patients with B-cell lymphomas.
