The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s Lymphoma Clinical Research Mentoring Program (LCRMP) is a first-of-its-kind education and mentoring program for junior scientists who wish to focus on lymphoma clinical research.

The primary goal of the LCRMP is to retain its talented participants — called LRF Scholars — in the field of lymphoma by providing mentoring and education programming and fostering research collaboration among expert faculty and the grantees. With a 100 percent retention rate in the first five years of its existence, the LCRMP has proven to be an invaluable resource for the next generation of lymphoma clinical researchers.

The new class of LRF Scholars is pursuing research projects covering a diverse range of lymphoma subtypes.

Led by LCRMP Co-chairs and LRF Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) members Brian Link, MD (The University of Iowa) and Kerry Savage, MD (BC Cancer, Vancouver), the new class of LRF Scholars is pursuing research projects covering a diverse range of lymphoma subtypes including new treatment paradigms for rare diseases like cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL), and more common subtypes like follicular lymphoma (FL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

The 2020 LCRMP class includes LRF’s inaugural Stephanie A. Gregory MD, FACP, Distinguished Scholar, Dr. Jamie Flerlage. The Gregory Distinguished Scholar program was established to recognize one Scholar each year, beginning with the 2020 grant class, in honor of Dr. Gregory’s outstanding career in the fields of clinical research, patient care, and teaching, including as a past member of the LRF Scientific Advisory Board and faculty for the Foundation’s patient and professional education programs.
