Lymphoma Survivorship Scientific Workshop

As lymphoma treatments continue to evolve, patients are living longer than ever before. However, survivorship now brings new and complex challenges affecting physical, psychological, and social well-being. The 2025 Lymphoma Survivorship Workshop convened experts and stakeholders to address the pressing needs and gaps in lymphoma survivorship care. Through focused discussions on survivorship care delivery, health promotion, prevention, and research resources, the workshop emphasized the necessity of a multidisciplinary approach to improving outcomes and quality of life for lymphoma survivors.

Key themes included the integration of evidence-based recommendations for vaccinations, nutrition, and physical activity into survivorship care plans, with particular attention to the challenges faced by immunocompromised patients. Participants explored the importance of addressing disparities in care delivery, emphasizing the role of social determinants of health in lymphoma outcomes. Innovative strategies, such as leveraging clinical trial infrastructures and digital tools, were discussed to advance equitable care.

“The establishment of a dedicated survivorship working group and this workshop are critical steps toward addressing the unmet needs of lymphoma survivors and exploring new research opportunities to address these challenges.”

In addition to highlighting existing resources for survivorship research, such as data integration and decisionsupport tools, the workshop underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care. Attendees emphasized the role of patient and caregiver input in shaping research priorities and survivorship care plans, fostering a more inclusive and effective approach to survivorship. Proceedings from the innagural meeting are synthesized in the following report which outlines key findings focused on identifying gaps in knowledge, advancing survivorship guidelines, and setting priorities for future research and advocacy efforts. The proceedings from the inaugural meeting were published in Fall 2025.
