The Lymphoma Research Foundation seeks a dynamic, patient-centered and results-driven Vice President of Strategic
Partnerships to secure and grow partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, and community organizations.
The Vice President will execute a comprehensive strategy to develop new and expand existing collaborative partnerships
through sponsorships, marketing, and research and education program support. The Vice President will be a key member
of the senior leadership team, contributing to overall organization strategy and decision-making.

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships builds and manages mutually beneficial alliances with partner organizations
and companies that share the Foundation’s mission and commitment to the lymphoma community. The Vice President is
responsible for designing and executing a strategy designed to grow revenue, deepen these partnerships, and align
corporate philanthropy with organizational priorities.
The Vice President will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will supervise the Director of Institutional and
Community Partnerships. The position is based in the Foundation’s New York City office; please note that the Foundation
currently utilizes a flex schedule, and all New York-based staff are currently required to work in the Foundation’s office
Tuesday-Thursday; staff may elect to work remotely Mondays and Fridays. The annual salary for this position is in the
$200,000-225,000 range.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Foundation’s portfolio of industry/ institutional/ community partners and prospects, including
    relationship management, solicitation, stewardship, and long-term engagement
  • Develop sector-specific strategy and customized partnership opportunities aligned with organizational goals
  • Cultivate partnerships to support Foundation programs, research portfolio, support services and events; build
    long-term consultative relationships that go beyond transactional giving
  • Manage the organization’s pharmaceutical/ biotech grant portfolio (inclusive of preparing/filing grant proposals,
    reconciliation reports, etc.) and interacting with stakeholders across multiple areas including commercial, medical,
    policy and grant making, while maintaining Foundation’s strong reputation for scientific independence and
    mission focus
  • Establish program sponsorship benefits and deliverables and conduct annual assessment of organization benefits
    portfolio
  • Develop guidelines and processes for internal stakeholders to ensure partnerships and sponsorships adhere to
    industry standards and that all sponsorship benefits are delivered in a timely manner
  • Regularly share relevant pharmaceutical industry insights and trends to senior Foundation staff to assist in
    program development
  • Provide recommendations to executive leadership on partnership prioritization, sponsorship opportunities, and
    revenue optimization
  • Supervise the Director of Institutional and Community Partnerships
  • Establish and report upon KPIs and impact metrics to assess the effectiveness of department activities and
    demonstrate reach
  • Manage the department annual budget; oversee monthly reconciliation and forecasting; liaise with the Finance
    and Operations staff to track partnership revenue
  • Represent the Foundation at national events, industry forums, and regional partnership meetings; identify
    colleagues to serve as additional Foundation representatives when appropriate
  • Assist Programs and Development Departments during select events and serve as pharmaceutical industry liaison
  • Strengthen awareness of the Foundation’s impact and ensure its position as a lymphoma authority and premier
    philanthropic partner
  • Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and direction to department staff and external vendors
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Remain up to date on the disease state, patient population and scientific research in the field
  • Oversee annual goal setting processes for the department

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated success in strategic partnerships or corporate development, ideally with strong
    experience in the healthcare sector (oncology preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior executives,
    Boards of Directors, and external stakeholder groups
  • Proven track record of developing, managing and executing strategic business partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and influence priorities, driving alignment and achieving mutually
    beneficial outcomes for stakeholders
  • Proficiency in grant writing and submissions
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop colleagues.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Prior knowledge or interest in learning about lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic leukemia and oncology
  • Knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications and CRMs such as the Raiser’s Edge
  • Own a valid Driver’s License and able to lift up to 20 lbs.
