Lung Function Tests
Lung function tests are done to make sure that the body can withstand treatment with certain lymphoma drugs that may stress a patient’s lung function (i.e., bleomycin, cyclophosphamide). A doctor may order breathing tests before beginning treatment and at other times during treatment to make sure that a patient’s lungs are still working properly.
