Lymphoma Research Foundation Launches Redesigned Site to Better Serve the Lymphoma and CLL Community

New York, NY (March 2018) –The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding the most promising young lymphoma investigators and serving the lymphoma community through exceptional education – has announced the launch of its redesigned website, lymphoma.org. The new online platform was designed based on the feedback of lymphoma patients, caregivers, and physicians, in order to better address the needs of this diverse population.

Each year, more than one million people access the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s digital resources. The fully responsive lymphoma.org is designed to give patients access to today’s most comprehensive lymphoma-specific information in any format, from anywhere. Whether newly diagnosed, in remission, or a long-term survivor, the Lymphoma Research Foundation created the new lymphoma.org to help guide patients and their loved ones through their journey with lymphoma.

“We understand that the discoveries made in the lab are only as effective as our ability to communicate these developments to patients and their loved ones,” said Meghan Gutierrez, Chief Executive Officer of the Lymphoma Research Foundation. “The Lymphoma Research Foundation has always been the trusted source for scientifically reviewed, up-to-date information, but the robust features and simplified navigation of this website will allow patients, caregivers, and physicians more direct access to the information they need at their fingertips.”

The mobile-friendly website features updated disease-specific information for patients and their loved ones, grant opportunities for researchers, and fundraising platforms for supporters. LRF used key website analytics to redesign critical features with the patient-perspective in mind, including simplified navigation to help them learn about various lymphoma subtypes, quick links to answer: “what is lymphoma,” “what resources are available” and “what can I do to help,” and options to easily connect with the LRF Helpline.

“A lymphoma diagnosis can be overwhelming for patients and their loved ones but having access to comprehensive and current information about their disease can be empowering. That is why the Lymphoma Research Foundation has redesigned our website – to make it easier for our visitors to find what they need when they need it,” said Peggy Ann Torney, LRF Chief Strategy, Communications and Engagement Officer. “LRF’s patient- and caregiver-centered approach was central to developing this new site. We hope visitors find the new lymphoma.org informative and, perhaps most importantly, hopeful.”

The new website also features enables lymphoma researchers to stay abreast of grant opportunities and makes it easier for healthcare professionals to register for CME programs and bulk order LRF’s materials for their offices. In support of its dual mission of eradicating lymphoma and serving those touched by this disease, the new lymphoma.org focuses on helping the entire lymphoma community navigate the intricacies of a blood cancer diagnosis by delivering the most exceptional resources to those impacted by lymphoma.
