Barbara Freundlich is the founder of the Cure for Lymphoma Foundation (CFL), the predecessor to the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF), and Member Emeritus of the LRF Board of Directors. Since her husband, LRF co-founder Jerry Freundlich, diagnosis with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Barbara has dedicated her time to advocate for lymphoma awareness and funding research. She served as a member of the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Consumer Advocates in Research and Related Activities program (CARRA), a peer reviewer for NCI’s Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPORE) and other lymphoma grant reviews. She has also testified before the House Appropriations Committee on behalf of the lymphoma community and served on an advisory panel for Cancer.Net, the patient information website of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
