Lymphoma Research Foundation’s 2022 North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma To be Held Virtually
The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) announced today that its premier patient education program, the 2022 North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma, will be held virtually from Friday, October 28th to Sunday, October 30th.
“The North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma is a critical resource for patients and their loved ones to gain access to the most up-to-date information about their disease,” said Meghan Gutierrez, Chief Executive Officer at the Lymphoma Research Foundation. “This virtual program continues to give patients, caregivers, and survivors the opportunity to learn safely about new advancements, allowing those impacted by lymphoma to feel empowered and take charge of their care and treatment.”
This year, the forum will be chaired by lymphoma experts Elizabeth Brem, MD, University of California, Irvine; Andrew Evens, DO, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey; and Loretta Nastoupil, MD, MD Anderson Cancer Center. The event will be held virtually to reflect the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on lymphoma patients and the public.
“This forum is an opportunity for lymphoma experts to share what they know with the wider community and to support those facing a lymphoma diagnosis,” said Sonali Smith, MD, Chair of the LRF Scientific Advisory Board. “Lymphoma is a complex cancer and programs like these afford patients and caregivers an opportunity that they might not otherwise have to ask questions of lymphoma experts and learn.”
The LRF North American Educational Forum on Lymphoma is the most extensive patient-centric lymphoma education program globally. The accessibility of the virtual 2021 Educational Forum had a demonstrable impact on the lymphoma community, with an unprecedented number of patients registering for the Forum,. The two-and-a-half-day annual program provides critical information on lymphoma treatment options, patient support issues, clinical trials, and the latest advances in lymphoma research for people with lymphoma and their loved ones.
LRF Education Programs
The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) hosts more than 50 patient education programs each year to provide members of the lymphoma community with up-to-date information about lymphoma and treatment options.
