The Lymphoma Research Foundation seeks an Associate Director of Brand and Creative Services to provide support to the Marketing and Communications Department and organization at large by leading the development of brand materials, assets, campaign creative, and other brand content. This highly collaborative role will oversee and execute the development, delivery, and quality of creative content requests from cross-department stakeholders. As the creative lead, they will help shape ideas and concepts into functional design and design direction. This role will be responsible for creative production and brand standards across content of all formats, across all of our channels, and for all of our audiences and will work alongside team leads from Marketing and Communications, Development, and Programs. The ideal candidate will be creative and passionate about design and thrive in a collaborative work environment with team members and colleagues across an entire organization. They will have strong experience in project management and a track record of working within a marketing and communications role.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation seeks a talented non-profit professional eager to grow professionally and join as Associate Director of Brand and Creative Services. The position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications and is based in the New York City office; please note that the organization utilizes a flex schedule, and all New York-based staff are required to work in the office weekly Tuesday-Thursday; staff may elect to work remotely Mondays and Fridays. The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $115,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the day-to-day creative efforts for the brand.
  • Leads the evolution of visual and verbal brand guidelines to meet the evolving needs of our work.
  • Directs and conducts primary design of key assets for our organization including our Annual Report, key brand collateral and brochures, major campaign creative, social media templates, and other major design projects across print and digital spaces.
  • Reviews and approves organization work to maintain a creative standard of excellence.
  • Gains and maintains fluency in the basic subject matter of lymphoma and our organization’s work in order to help visually communicate key messages and themes.
  • Develops and maintains a freelance team of art and graphic designers, printers, and other specialists, where necessary.
  • Partners with other leaders in the Marketing and Communications department to define the role of creative across projects and campaigns.
  • Partners with leads on Development, Support Services, and Programs Departments to translate brand strategy to best fit their needs for creative materials and campaign ideas.
  • Works with project managers to optimally manage creative resources and deliver creative work on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • Six or more years’ experience in marketing or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or related field
  • Strong creative sense and excellent design skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and analyze, define, and recommend visual identity standards and guidelines
  • Passion for and ability to create and execute marketing initiatives
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional departments and partner with key stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with the production of raster, vector, and motion graphics including those for development and sales materials, presentations, social media, etc.
  • Firm understanding of page layout and typography with a good eye for photography
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with print production and preparation of files for print
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant Adobe products with Animate, Premiere, and After Effects being a plus
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with building assets and templates in relevant programs for use by others such as social media templates in Canva, slide templates in Powerpoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with simple motion graphics and video editing preferred
