58th American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting Highlights Lymphoma Research Foundation Impact on Modern Research Landscape

ASH Meeting to Feature Lymphoma Research Foundation Scientific Advisory Board Members and
Research Grantees in 2016

New York, NY (December 1, 2016) – The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services – will again be a feature of this year’s American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting and Exposition, with more than 114 presentations from members of its world-leading Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) members and research grantees.

Widely regarded as the premier event in malignant and non-malignant hematology, the ASH Annual

“Once again, we are extremely proud that the pivotal research stemming from the Lymphoma Research
Foundation and its innovative research portfolio will be featured throughout this year’s ASH Annual
Meeting,” said Dr. Leo I. Gordon, Chair of the LRF Scientific Advisory Board. “In keeping with LRF’s
commitment to funding the best science with the highest likelihood of real, scalable impact, the topics
presented by LRF’s grantees and SAB members are truly on the cutting edge of the most promising
research presented during this year’s meeting.”

As the preeminent scientists in their field, 32 unique abstracts will be presented this year by current
members of LRF’s Scientific Advisory Board, which is comprised of 45 world-renowned lymphoma
experts and guides LRF research activities.

“The 2016 American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting features the groundbreaking work of
numerous Lymphoma Research Foundation Scientific Advisory Board members and grantees,
highlighting the Foundation’s focus on funding and working with the most accomplished scientists in the
field,” said LRF Chief Executive Officer Meghan Gutierrez. “The ASH Annual Meeting also provides the
unique opportunity for the scientists, clinicians and patient advocates who comprise the Foundation’s
diverse research portfolio to come together to discuss the unique opportunities and challenges in
lymphoma and CLL research, and strategize a path forward.”
